Description This is a painting I did earlier last year. Just a fantasy character done as an armor study. Tried to blend a mix of cultures into the armor.

I just started using painter a couple of months ago. I crossover between Painter and Photoshop now and like them both for different reasons. I have a few custom brushes I use, but for the most part I like the default hard edge brush set at low opacity in Photoshop. In Painter I like the oils and the blenders. Very cool stuff. Wow, great picture. I especially like the fine lines you see on the coat.

I'm a bit unsure, did you paint it and then scan it, or did you do it directly on your Computer? Neither way of making the picture changes my view of it

I think this is my favorite of the ones you've posted, I really like the earthy tones you used, greyer and browner colors than before, it gives a real sense of atmosphere to the painting. I really love the way you did her expression and the subtle pose, she seems very sad and the emotion is strong.
