Oh hey! It's my art summary for 2022, sure it's technically 2023 already but why would that stop me?
Had a pretty interesting year with very many struggles, but somehow magically I managed to art at least once a month. I took this year to focus on work (with the necessary support) and actually got a contract working as an administrative support / archive worker at a local welfare company. It's had its ups and downs, but I feel I've finally started to stabilize a little bit.
Some close shaves with burnout notwithstanding it's been a very good year at least; and hopefully I will be in a better spot to enjoy this hobby more consistently starting my week off later this month!

I would say that for the art this has been the year of backgrounds and especially background characters- as in people (or in most cases Pokemon) being in the background doing... stuff. Definitely didn't incorporate a background in all of my art, but I feel that in most cases where I did it's been more detailed and lively than previous years. Besides that I don't think I've actually improved much, but am also fine with that.
Unsurprisingly most of my art is for as the brain worm continues to live in my head rent free. While I have considered branching out in different groups, from experience I know it usually ends up causing me to burn out completely and drop from all groups, so instead I wanna preserve what I currently do.
But who knows, once I get over myself I might dip into other things this year.

All that said, I wish whoever sees this a happy and healthy 2023! Make the best of it!
