Keeping his singer alive.Not much "2doc" intended, as when I think about it, it's just Murdoc being a decent human being and saving 2D from a watery grave.
I can't tell you how many times I've killed all of them in the Escape to Plastic Beach game....The little underwater gravestones were really cute

LOL okay here's how I did it, don't tell anyone
Sketch on paper with mechanical pencil.normally I'd line the sketch with pen but I especially loved the sketchy look of it so I didn't line it, I just erased a few unwanted stokes, so this is almost entirely a sketch. Look closely and you can see tons of extra lines and stuff.
Ten I scanned it, adjusted the lighting and contrast a little bit so the lines show up more clearly then off to Paint Tool SAI. My method is nothing special really, I just multiplied the sketch layer then create layers underneath it to color. I usually do base colors first then create separate layers for shading. In this piece specifically I used some textures for the skin shading then water texture for the entire picture (no background yet, just a colored sketch) When I'm done with the colors, I do a google search for a suitable background, I used the search tool to find the right size and stuff. Then when I do find a background I want to steal borrow, I crop it to the exact size of my sketch, open it in SAI and copy it to a new layer at the bottom. And done! Afterwards I adjusted the contrast a bit, add a few filters here and there and tadaa!Β
