I couldn't help myself. Post-Whitney, I was still at the rail as the runners, victorious and otherwise, came by on their way back to their respective barns.

I've gotta admit, I am a major fan of Grasshopper. I would even go as far as calling him the most beautiful horse in American racing, Curlin included. There's something about his chiseled face, kind eyes and lean body that lend him another level of elegance not achieved by the others. And there are beautiful others.

I'm not the only one who appreciates him as a racehorse, either. Various people around me started hollering and clapping as the 'Hopper walked by... they did it for Ginger Punch and Commentator as well, but not for any other who hadn't been victorious.

I think I just might turn this one into a portrait.

This'll be the last photo for a little while, just because I'm still fixing the others up. Just had to get a few online before I started journal ranting.
