Lady Cynthia was a duchess of the Spanish court in 1483. She was very beautiful and her skin was very fair, as white as ivory. Then Lady Cynthia was inflicted with disease. It ate away her beautiful face and made her look very ugly. Ashamed of her appearance, Lady Cynthia covered her skin with powder and hid her face behind a thick veil. No one has seen Lady Cynthia's beautiful face ever since. Some claimed to have seen her beautiful pale skin once after she died, caked with powder, as it came off of her face.
