Description Niddler's been on my "want to draw" list for more than two years, so now, here he is! He's from "The Pirates of Dark Water" [link] and I watched the show back when it's episodes were new!

With this deviation, I experimented with filters and layer modes. Selecting the white stuff around the lines isn't perfect. I had lots of white pixels around the edges, but I still worked with it. After coloring digitally, I set the lineart layer to multiply, and duplicated it three times. The third lineart layer, I did somehting different... I placed the layer underneath the color layer, set it to normal, transparency layer locked, and colored it all with a much darker color... made it a bit transparent by adjusting...

Is that tmi? If not (and you'd like to read more) just ask, and I'll edit this description later.

Colored using Gimp2.6 ... and to rephrase what I said in an earlier Journal, I'm coloring with flats because my laptop has limited CPU. I think using more layers uses more CPU, but I could be wrong.

Niddler (c) to David Kirschner (and/or Hanna-Barbera)
