I was watching Elizabeth the Golden Age the other day and you know what? That floor map is awesome!

There's a room in Himring where the Sons of Feanor gather every month or so to discuss strategy.
Most of the time they spend it throwing things at each other but eventually a good course of action is planed.
Awww... so Maedhros has improved a lot since he only had a small map , and look! He even left space to map Eriador if the oportunity ever arose!
*snorts*
….he thought he was gonna live long enough to make it to Eriador...

They actually play battleship or Stratigo with the map. It isn't for war.

I find the way your drawings show expressions, poses and movements incredibly impressive! And those outfits and hair styles
Seriously, I could (and have ) spend hours looking through your gallery, it's just so lovely. And I haven't read the silmarillion, so I don't even know these characters! Your drawings are the reason I started reading the book a few times, but sadly I just don't enjoy it

and listen, I totally understand. the Silm is a very convulted and boring book, and it took me several tries to get through everything, and even then, there are some chapters I really don't care about much (like the whole of Elros descendants and the fall of numenor? I read it once, twice if we strech it) because everyone has a favorite kind of characters (I know artists who love the chapter with the Valar singing and they draw them woderfully but meh...it's not my thing)
so yeah, it's not mandatory to read the whole Silmarillion, as long as you have fun!

That's really nice of you to say! Sometimes it feels like the Silmarillion-Readers belong to an exclusive club and they don't want to converse with anyone who hasn't read it, so it's nice to see that's not really the case

*snorts* ...if by "exclusive club" you meant the cool kids at the mental asylum then yeah, I guess.
it's more like the image of that paranoic man with his wall full of wild theories in the background; we are always so eager to have an ear to listen to our ramblings, so yeah, if you're ever curious about anything in the Silmarillion just ask me or anyone else, we crave attention so hard.

likely updated for Second-Third Age AND a version of the First Age map, as Middle-earth did change after teh War of Wrath
in the Warg Rider-AU Maglor was taken back to Valinor for healing after Maedhros' death because he lost his mind in grief over her death and Celebrimbor offered to remain exiled from Valinor in his uncle's place
