Fairytaurs are small winged mammals that live deep into huge forests, building their villages interconnected between the big trees, sometimes even craving partially into the wood, but more usually just hanging and tying their homes to the branches, connecting everything with bridges.
They make up their homes with thin, flexible branches from willow trees and such, then making beds and nests with grass, leaves and twigs; they build the suspended bridges in a similar fashion, linking several trees together; a single village can take up from 1 to 10 trees at once, ranging from around 20 individuals to more than 200.
These villages are usually built starting from a single, central tree going outward; the center is usually where the food stores are built, usually inside a cavity inside the main tree.

They live divided in families, usually of two or more, but sometimes there are cases of fairytaurs that live alone; usually these individuals stay without a partner for their whole lives, their houses being at the outer edges of the village.
The whole community is pretty tight knit, with each individual having specific tasks to manage; there isn't a real hierarchy, usually the older members of the clan are the ones who organize the activities.

Some of the many roles of the clan account:
- gatherers, who go out with baskets and such to harvest fruits and herbs.
- hunters, the ones between the most experienced fairytaurs, they are the ones hunting small living preys like mice or lizards.
- catchers, in a similar way to the hunters, they deal with catching bugs and slimes with nets.
- crafters, who make spears and nets out of branches and twigs, for the hunters and catchers.
- guards, perhaps even more skilled than the hunters, they are charged with the task of defending the village from threats
and more.

Fairytaurs are spread through the forests all across the globe, but they all have one similar, common language; every clan has it's own dialect, but has no problem communicating with another one, older members can know up to 30 different dialects or even to pick up other sentient species languages.
Clans don't interact often, but its not rare for single, more skilled members to leave searching for a new one, or for groups to detach themselves to build a new clan when the old one gets overpopulated; in the biggest forests it's possible to find various clans with similar dialects that may have originate from a single one.

Fairytaurs are mostly all intersex and have no sexual dysmorphism, it is really rare for one to be born with only one gender; because of that they have only a neutral pronoun in their language and even individuals that have a single gender use it.

Finally finished this one, I had it done for a few days now, I just needed to find the time to actually write all the infos.

So, yeah, new little critters for my project; I still need to think up of a map, some flora and fauna and for a name for the planet oh dear.
I'm working on more references, on the ref sheet for the slimes and some fanart I had laying on my desktop for over a month.

Man school (and flight rising shhh) sure is eating my time away.
