Dear good lord, am I happy that I didn't go with the templar alliance the whole future Redcliff was outright horrible, and judging by your good folks comments and the vibrant, yet sad drawing, I would have cried myself to death, not that it didn't happen through the game play!!

Since this has been added to a slash collection: Is the inquisitor a male Lavellan or a female one?

It's a female one actually. But people are free to interpret my art in any way.

That's generous of you. Is there a chance you draw a male Inquisitor by his side, too? I'd so love to see this.

It is a possibility, the only problem is the lack of free time. You know how it is.

Oh Maker, I do. The struggle is real. Your output is quite fascinating, though. It's a lot, really. How do you even do it? Are you just incredibly fast or effectively using vacation and holidays?

I had to become good at time management, I wouldn't have survived school and university otherwise. Also game soundtracks help concentrate immensely, they are an effective weapon against procrastination

You studied? Art? Well, the time management seemed to be extremely effective. Hats off!

No, I studied systems analysis, art is just my hobby and a way to escape reality for some time

I sense a genius right in front of me. Did you aim for this or did it just..happen? Some people strive for it, and others just see where practise takes them.

Greendelle In reply to RainbowRenders [2015-03-04 03:15:05 +0000 UTC]

Not a genius, a stubborn mule I can't say I 'strive' for anything when it comes to art, I draw when I need to get my mind off stuff. I've improved greatly in the last year mostly because life was hard on me, I was angry and needed something to blow steam off.

That's so interesting to read. Some practise like mad people and you just... did it. You improved a lot, yeah, I saw that, too, but rather from 2008 till now. Do you observe a lot or are references something you look at while drawing / painting? What made you so angry, if you don't mind sharing this detail?

Greendelle In reply to RainbowRenders [2015-03-05 17:22:50 +0000 UTC]

My brain did all the work for me, I guess, I had no objectives, no teachers, no deadlines - just absolute freedom to do what I want.
I used to sketch a lot during lunch breaks at the university and that greatly improved my anatomy skills; when I see a picture I like I always take note of how colors blend together, memorise it and use it later in my own works. I use references later for details and for body parts I get stuck on.
To summarise: observation plus reference plus practice equals profit.

As for anger issue, you'd be mad too if years of hard work ended in nothing because of corrupt bureaucracy system but that's a common thing for the country I live in, I shouldn't complain lol.

Oh no! It happened, oh god, I knew the Cullen and red lyrium art would start appearing soon.
I'm not ready! My poor lil heart isn't ready for such feels DX

This is so beautiful and heart breaking at the same time! I love your art!
Well done! Keep up the awesomeness! It really give the feeling of a dark future
Now pardon me while I go cry....

Shh, no tears

Lilyfield In reply to Greendelle [2015-01-04 06:40:13 +0000 UTC]

Alright, ; v ; No tears then- but poor Cullen tho.... If this ever happened in the game I'd probably be beside myself... Wait, this doesn't happen in the game, right? O A O;;; I only just got over Mass Effects bundle of feels~

I haven't finished Inquisition yet because my saves keep getting corrupted and my game keeps having weird errors leaving me unable to progress in the main story at all [despite having brought 3 different disks]

Did you try the templar alliance? OMG.........when that demon slit....OMG....I just sat there like....O________O.....I WILL KILL YOU, DEMON. I. WILL. KILL. YOU. I wanted to cry, scream, hit something all at once. Over a game. MAN!!! Bioware screws with your head!!!

Lilyfield In reply to BreakingOnion [2015-01-26 04:13:19 +0000 UTC]

MY GOD, YES! Yes I went for the Templar Alliance in one of my new non-corrupted games and I was like
"OH HELL NO! YOU DID NOT JUST BRING CULLEN INTO THIS! You want to kill Leliana, fine. You want to kill Josephine, fine. You touch Cullen, you're going down. HARD." - Then the demon slit and I was not a happy gamer, let me say that.

In my opinion the Templar Alliance quest is a lot more intense than the mage one because of what the Envy demon was doing, maybe the dark future in Redcliff didn't impact me as much because I was never Leliana's biggest fan to put it lightly.

It had heart when you watched your preferred team sacrifice themselves for you. T_T And you're right about Leliana. My least fave character of all time. But watching Varric go.....oh man. Varric's always on my team for numerous reasons...made me sad to watch him thrown to the ground lifeless. O_O

Lilyfield In reply to BreakingOnion [2015-07-21 04:17:39 +0000 UTC]

Oh I know! I died when my team went all sacrificial on me. Poor Varric T.T
I got mad when they threw him on the floor, just adding insult to injury right there.
(And wow, someone who isn't a super fan of Leliana?? She's like a crowd favourite. For a long time, I thought I was the only one who didn't like her XD)

BreakingOnion In reply to Lilyfield [2015-09-24 22:43:13 +0000 UTC]

Bleh. Leliana. It was very awkward with her singing around the campsite in first game. I only talked to her cuz I was a mage and liked her as a rogue (this was when I didn't know about Zevran). Then I went rogue and kept two mages and Alistair with me at all times. LOL... did NOT want to deal with her. Then she shows in DA2 and I'm like "oh great." And then DAI and I'm all "there it is. The Liara of Dragon Age." Did you play the add-ons? I think the actress who voiced Liara played as that female dwarf. Gawd I wished it was Skyrim so I could put one of Varric's arrows in her head.

Oh no, don't worry about that. Inquisition ends on a good note without unneceassry drama

Lilyfield In reply to Greendelle [2015-01-04 07:10:58 +0000 UTC]

Not even a little? XD
That's a bit disappointing from Bioware but at the same time that's a major relief - when - if - I ever get to play Inquisition then at least I don't have to worry about going through the five stages of grief again like in ME3.

Thanks for that

Greendelle In reply to Lilyfield [2015-01-04 07:32:32 +0000 UTC]

Well, there are some plot twists 'bioware style' but they are sooo much better then in ME3 xD

Ohhhhhhhh? That's got me real interested.
People have been telling me that there are traitors in your party? Or something along those lines and there's a real "What the hell just happened?" moment right at the end XD

Oh man, I guess I'll just have save up and to go buy a new console now since Inquisition doesn't seem to work on my Xbox 360, lol and buy the game again.. for the fourth time. I just hope it's worth all my hard earned money XD
