MegaGeekSerious: the texture is super easy.
1) find a picture of the texture you want... like reptile skin, or concrete or wood or whatever.
2) cut and paste the picture into photoshop on a layer overtop of your colours.
3) set the layer to Overlay.
4) push ctrl+U to bring up the hue saturation toggles, mess with them until it looks good. Then if need be adjust the opacity of the layer until the texture is just right. The texture should never be too overwhelming or distract from the colours.
5) erase out the inessentials.
DONE!
