Haaaiiii! (Poyo!) It's the first proper drawing of the year! So all of a sudden I had the brilliant idea of booting up a random Pokemon generator and anthrofying whatever it gave me. Now, of course I didn't do EVERY one that came up (Purugly, anyone?), but I did the ones that seemed like they would be fun or interesting. I'm pretty proud of how I managed to make Drifloon humanoid. Lileep too, but I realised after drawing it that I'd accidentally ripped off tamtamdi 's gijinka of it.

I knew I was inspired by the hair, but the clothing, legs and even the POSE were definitely unintentional. Making it a hoodie was a pretty good idea, I thought, and referencing the creature's yellow neck with leggings (or maybe her legs just look like that) just seemed natural. I guess great minds think alike. Anyway, you should definitely check out tamtamdi's gallery, because her (?) Pokemon gijinkas are unquestionably the best on the internet simply because they actually look like the Pokemon they're supposed to be.

And the other two are cute too! I've got some more sketches done, so maybe we'll see some followups. I do want to finish that Charmeleon pic from last month, though.

Oh yes, and you see that thing in the bottom left corner? Yes, I decided to finally stop writing out the URL of my page along the side. That worked when I only submitted to DeviantArt, but later I started posting to Fur Affinity as a sort of bit on the side, and then Twitter came along too. For the last couple of pics, eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed the omission of the URL for my Fur Affinity page. That was an attempt to streamline things, since DeviantArt is still my base of operations, and the alternative was putting all THREE on there... or even making three separate versions each with their own text *shudder*. Well, I decided in the end that it would be better to do what a fair few artists do: have a logo to use as a watermark instead. It's more streamlined, unifies everything better, and has the added bonuses of being harder for thieves to crop out, and being easier to read at smaller resolutions. It may not be perfect yet, but we'll see how it goes.

Oh, and here's the sketch. I did the sketch and lines in Krita in this, before moving to Photoshop for the colours. Drifloon took a few attempts to get the body right; the sketch here is actually the second attempt after the first one was even more gangly and awkward. I changed a lot in the lower half in the lineart as well. You can also see parts of Joltik which I just didn't reference very carefully in the sketch (the randomiser gives you a very small sprite), so more detail had to be added (and fixes made) in the lineart.
