I like all your other drawings in this series, but this one is just too too OOC. If they were 4 or 5 years old, maybe. But the poorly suprevised street rats on their way to becoming self-sufficient (and overconfident) at the age of 12 and ready to start adventuring at 14? No.  They grow up too fast in their challenging environment (and explore too much, for sheer fun, to get lost in a town they know).

Remember, Shantae is already an accomplished, employed independent defense contractor at age 16.

Also, Shantae did not grow up in Scuttle Town. It is the place where she found her first job, yes, but there is too much indirect evidence in the canon that the townsfolk did not know her as a child.
