I vote for her being called D.C. Hooves in universe. D for [insert embarrassing first name starting with D that can be shortened to Derpy] and C for [insert embarrassing middle name starting with C].
Also, I vote for her to only allow her best friends Golden Harvest and Rainbow Dash to know her full name, which is why the latter may call her Derpy as a way to call her attention.
