Description

3/5 fleshed Royal Ontario Museum fossils

Plateosaurus engelhardti was a late Triassic prosauropod, ancestor to the giant elephantine titanosaurs of the Cretaceous. The evolutionary split from the heavily feathered theropods was recent, so I’ve included a speculative coat of protofeathers. My rationale is that huge sauropods thermoregulate using gigantothermy, while smaller prosauropods would rely more on insulation.

This is printed using risograph (hence the limited colours).
