Looking down over the village of Newtyle (behind the trees!) into Strathmore, which means "the great glen". The hills you can see in the distance are the southern edge of the Cairngorms.

I planned this shot in winter but I've underestimated how quickly they cut the fields and I'm rushing about trying to shoot all these fields I though I had loads of time to work!

The line of trees at the end of this field is the old Dundee to Newtyle railway, the first railway in northern Scotland having opened in 1831 and the only reason the Village of Newtyle exists at all. I think there has been a church on the site of the modern one long before that for the use of the farms in the area but I'm not exact on the details!
