This is a rare shot for me in that it is not in the Pacific Northwest. My daughter and I happened to be visiting Aspen, Colorado. I would love to return!

this is so awesome and one of these days we need to go see this. Aspen is not to far , I just was not impressed with the town as much when we went. I prefer vail

Aspen is OK, but you should definitely visit Maroon Bells. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance, because there are limited hours when you can drive all the way up to the lake.

No, you cannot drive your own car to Maroon Bells between 0900 and 1700. During those hours, only shuttle buses are allowed on the access road.
