i like bee's altar reference. seems very much like an adoration piece for the 00's - rough and urban, yet still doing its alterish job.

i've got an altar in my room as well-- has some old religious statues that belonged to my grandparents, and small urn, my grandmothers wedding ring, an old blue glass and metal french perfume jar from the 20's that i bought at an auction, a small gold metal replica of the ark of the covenant (from the franklin mint) that my oldest and dearest friend sent to me-- with a half smoked joint in it. (she lives in L.A-- really the only way we could share). and a shot glass from new orleans.

i know.. ever since we laid off helga our beloved family housekeeper it's been tough keeping up with things around the manse. the rose garden is a mess. the silver tarnished.

the theme of the week in my thinking this week for some reason- things Victorian- this reminds me of a poster for some fairly twisted Victorian (or very un-Victorian) play. The smock & heavy rubber gloves are a little disturbing. Makes me wonder what's happening in his little lab. Oh, Alice, leave the silly rabbit alone for a moment and come here for a moment, wont you?

lol.. when i found that picture I knew it had to be used in something fun-- and I did want the image to have a sort of victorianesque twisted carnival kind of look.
Oh im sure he has lots of interesting experiments going on his lab. what else is there to do when your trapped in nowhere?

yes he recently moved from somewhere.
i wanted to have it sort of look like and old card or poster.
