For King of the Monster Gods’ Beast Goddess Challenge. This is the third Goddess, the Oracle of Honey and Flowers. I love King’s stories—they are the most fascinating balance of beauty and creepy. I think there is some creepy in this—even if it seems all sunny and colorful!Related content

She looks really nice, both strange and elegant. I love her fuzzy bee collar and hair, also her crown of antennae. There's some of the Arthur Rackham spirit here, which I think is very cool. It's great to see faery-like beings who are not cutesy Tinkerbells...

Thank you so much! I love Arthur Rackham so I am flattered. I know what you mean about everything having to be cutesy. When we do that we take all the teeth out of fairy tales and fairies and most of the time, Fairies aren’t really very “nice.”
