Your right the right squiggly is detracting from the composition. Next time i find a shot like this ill move back to include more fence and that way the number of squiggles would not change the pciture.

There is one kind of pictures where color overrules b&W most of the time: sky-ish pics
I also like the squiggles better but I think the one on the right (wich is half visible) disturbs the picture. I think it would've been better if that one wasn't there (or visible).....but the squiggles are a nice idea cos it makes the picture more than your everyday sky shot (not that everyday sky shots aren't beautiful)

you should have composited the fence + sunrise to make BOTH sharp
