Just thought I do some more cartoon women sketches, and every where on this site is covered in Sonic female characters, so did my fave sonic gals from Archie comics.

Actually, Sally Acorn is Copyright Sega, she is just leased to Archie back when Sonic Bible was the ONLY fictions for the universe. Even the Japanese fiction is based on the Sonic Bible, they only changed the names of the characters and I have yet to find someone with enough balls to claim they have a Japanese version of Sonic 1 that can be definitively proven to have been released in 1991 while I know thousands who can make that claim about having a North American, European and Australian copies that can be traced to 1991 and in the manual and credits it lists Sally Acorn as part of the cast for the game. Likewise I have yet to see a 1992 Japanese copy of Sonic 2, the 1992 North American copies also list Sally Acorn as part of the cast in both credits and the manual. Same with Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles original cartridges and especially Sonic Spinball. She was slated in the appearance given to her for SatAm in a few games like 16, Mars, and Extreme, but as far as who owns her, it's hands down Sega, Archie has even gone out of their way to say they do not own her and she is simply leased from Sega themselves.

There's also the fact that the Archie Sonic memorabilia was in the Japanese version too and the US copyright office confirms her ownership too.

Actually, the ones who had Sally Acorn's 1st media use were DiC Entertainment, not Archie Comics.

Archie Sonic came first, then DIC's Sonic Sat AM.
Sally and Bunnie have yet to appear in IDW Sonic the Hedgehog comic books.
Hershey Cat, MIA since circa 2012, might be in Ken Penders' self published Lara-Su Chronicles graphic novel (Ken Penders left Archie comics in the 2000's, but did 2 lawsuits against Archie between 2009-2013 that caused Archie to reboot the Sonic comic in 2013, but in 2017 Archie lost the Sonic comic book rights to Sega and the Sonic rights moved to IDW the next year in 2018).
