The Countess forces Venna into the apparatus that will...well, those of you who don't already know, will have to get the book, which will be out soon. The story in its early form is currently available in three black and white volumes, but this is the big one. I think it's worth having all versions, because there's some nice line art in the current editions, and some scenes that I've deleted from the update. Those spheres aren't really magnets. of course. they just emit something that causes the fingers to contract, so it's impossible to release one's grip. Fiendish device!
