The name of your series, 'I hate backgrounds' made me giggle. I can totally empathize.
The lack of background, though, is what makes this piece very powerful. It brings Aerith's kindness and tranquility to the center stage supported by the text. Being a FFVII nerd brings this to another level for me. Very beautiful, and the words are very touching.

The text is poignant, too. I take it these are like Aeris's last thoughts, or thoughts from beyond the grave, toward Cloud.
The timing's funny b/c just last night I was playing FF7: Dirge of Cerebrus, which stars a minor character from the original (which I've never played), and I got to I guess the one part in the game with a cameo of Cloud. So I was thinking of Aeris too, b/c despite never having played FF7, I know of her touching death.

I love Stein too, but the reason why I'm gonna do Mifune now is because at the last con, there were about 6 Steins or so. Yet, there were no Mifune cosplayers. Personally, I like cosplaying underdone cosplays for the spotlight <3.
