Labirynt to nie chaos, to porządek, którego musimy się nauczyć.
Genialnie.

Sorry, hit the print request by accident instead of the fave. Nevertheless a great image.

Yep. And I understood why I got some print requests never followed up by a sale!

I belive they have put the buttons "fav" and "request" too close maybe they will take care of it with the another version

I belive the person who would want to send the request would comment thought

You're right... on both points. But you know, I was so happy to see somebody requesting a print that my brain did not even function

well, yes, they seems to be even more important.

Actually I think the money, as a sing of today's consumptive sign of the world shouldn't thouch the artist.

You know? Die the body, Viva L'Arte !

You're so great at this!!Please tell me ,
how do you make the black background,my friend?
I can't do it!..

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Greyguardian In reply to chryssalis [2010-05-27 00:52:41 +0000 UTC]

I think it is just a matter of the photo - I make them in the darkness, with one source of the light. Then high contrast, low brightness.

or sometimes I just cut out tha part of a picture I am interested in and pit it on a black background.

Thank you Athina

... that Zbigniew Preisner is GREAT!!!
interesting classical componists from the 20th century are rather rare...
do you know arvo pΓ€rt?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Greyguardian In reply to Metallic-Art [2010-05-25 20:27:03 +0000 UTC]

I am glad that you liked, those compostions are dear to my heart.

I never heard of them, but I've checked on youtube and they sounds interesting.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Metallic-Art In reply to Greyguardian [2010-05-26 17:08:02 +0000 UTC]

wow, i am BLOWN AWAY!!
i DL'd some of preisner's work yesterday (...how do you pronounce "ZBIGNIEW" anyway?O.o well, after a while, i got used to pronouncing it like "dzbeegnyev") - and haven't slept much since, because i couldn't stop listening to his music!
well, he's not quite THAT classical in his compositions, because he lives in the 20th/21st century and is therefore free to add a saxophone and to break some conventionalized patterns - but i LOVE IT!
...and i recently discovered "dead can dance"
dull name, right?
must be a crappy alternative-rock garage band, right?
i've never been more wrong they're doing EPICAL ...err... neo-classic? i don't know if you can call it like that - it's pretty much their own style - but GREAT - check out "host of the seraphim" or "e profundis" for example on youtube
...arvo pΓ€rt is one guy - was interviewed by blΓΆrk here that's so funny because neither of them can pronounce a word in english or even express themselves ->[link]

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Greyguardian In reply to Metallic-Art [2010-05-27 00:01:07 +0000 UTC]

you have it here about 0 23 - [link]

glad you are enjoying his music

Dead Can Dance is my favourite band since I was a child, I have added their music to some of my works.
I know all of their records.

and thanks for the link , it is quite funny indeed, but not so tragic as you have told.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Metallic-Art In reply to Greyguardian [2010-06-02 20:29:32 +0000 UTC]

so i was close with the pronounciation
really? i had heard their name before, but i always thaught they couldn't possibly be good with THAT name...
...or does it mean "dead CAN dance", like the dance of dead tin-cans or something?
that would be hillarious

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Greyguardian In reply to Metallic-Art [2010-06-03 19:18:36 +0000 UTC]

i belive it has something to do with the "danse macabre".

Also the people who used to be in this band were using the instruments that are no longer used by the musicians.

I don't know. I like the name - it even has it's rythm, like a drum : dead-can-dance dead-can-dance dead-can-dance.
And makes me think about the dancing skeletons

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Metallic-Art In reply to Greyguardian [2010-06-09 17:38:25 +0000 UTC]

i kinda grew fond of the idea it meand "dance of the dead cans" - ...but still the picture i get when hearing/thinking about that name is dead people in baroque clothings dancing in the moonlight - like it is their monthly excursion to the world of the living

Zbigniew Preisner is my favourite composer too, one of them. I can listen to his music over and over again and especially when I create, it makes my mood in the right feeling,
life can be like a labyrinth but we an always get out of there.....
