I can see why this is one of your favorites - It's quite good.
I really like the style that the character was drawn in; it's very original, and the clean edges are rather appealing. I like the variation of thickness of lines, and the flat colors look quite cool. I also like how well you created an expression out of so few lines - That was wonderfully done.
The colors work wonderfully together, and the teal square makes a nice, subtle background. I have mixed feelings about all the negative white space though... A part of me feels like it works compositionally, but that may be because of signature. And at the same time, I think chopping a good bit of it off would make this even better.
Anyway, really good work - I enjoyed looking at it.
