What unfortunate is that power levels stopped having meaning after the Frieza Arc so we have no idea how any of Broly's forms compare to any other the other heroes/villains.

Not exactly, but we can get a good estimate by observing broly's fights. Considering he was bested by SSJ 1 Goku (with power from friends),
i estimate that Broly's LSSJ form is probably equal in power to SSJ 1 Grade 3 (also called USSJ, it's the form trunks tries to use to beat perfect
cell), so, more powerful than a standard SSJ, but not quite as powerful as a SSJ2

It sucks that we never find out how much more powerful a Super Saiyan 2 is to a Full-Power Super Saiyan.

Actually we already kind of do know how much more powerful SSJ2 is than SSJ.
From what i've read, SSJ gives a 500% power increase from the base form, and SSJ2 gives
another 500% power increase on top of that, so going from base to SSJ2 would be a 1000%
power increase, making SSJ2 twice as powerful as SSJ.
Seriously though, the stats behind the various transformations in dbz aren't as vague as you're
pretending, you just have to know where to look and how to math.
