This is my biggest pet peeve with fan characters. Those characters that look like someone took a screenshot of their favorite character, recolored it and then said "DERP look at my totally original OC design!" (though if their backstory is good then I might overlook the design).
Weeellll that's a nice coloring job, I guess? :V
I realize all the ponies in the show use practically the same body base; here I'm talking about OCs that look exactly like, say, Twilight Sparkle, only with different colors and a different cutie mark. Or in the case of the comic, draconequus OCs that look like the spitting image of Discord; same animal parts and all.
Really don't mean to offend anyone with this. Just artistically expressing my personal opinion

Aaaaaah i see, i totally overlooked that. It's like when you make an Alicorn oc, you need to find a purpose for it to even be an alicorn. Especially when it has a Cutimark...
I always thought that'd be more only Discord's thing being a spirit of chaos, so that idea never really came to mind. I wonder what other kinds of spirits could a draconequus be..? Do they have to be similar to chaos or could they be good things? Idk i'll try and figure that out as i go along. Thanks for the eye opening tip!

Which would disrepect the Latin meaning of 'Draconequus' and 'Draconequus' mainly means - DRAGON-HORSE (DRAGON-PONY), adding one or two features is fine, but, the main features need to be both dragon and pony features.

Yeah its so hard to to make something simalier but different. cause you really dont got a anatomy base to go off of and it makes it hard when he is mismatched parts.

I was actually surprised how difficult it was to create draconequus oc that used a different set of body parts than discord while still coming off as aesthetically pleasing, rather than just a bizarre eyesore of a mish-mash of parts and colors, or just a discord clone.
Although unfortunately, even though now that Ive made one that is actually pretty decent, I'm not involved with role play and fan-fiction writing and such enough to really use her for anything.
