Just got back from seeing Avengers: Infinity War and I am shook.SHOOK.
AM SHOOKETH.
too shook to write a full review like normal
Thanos is ultimate Marvel villain, Hela was hella boring, and more villains than I can remember were so forgettable I don't even remember them whoop
but why the fuck didn't Dr. Strangelove use the Time Stone to rewind time to keep Starfucker from fuckin' shit up

Yeah they showed Thanos as a villain with purpose and "feels", which made it a great movie for me, also Strange didnt do that because of the one way to SUCCeed

So refreshing to see the villains in a super hero movie win like this for once.
Course anyone and everyone who's read the comics has an idea how things will go witht he next one. In the meantime, Deadpool 2 and the new antman and wasp woman movie! WOOT!

I saw it last weekend with my father, and we are shook! I was crying the whole time. My favorite characters are dead, and I just want them to come back. Anyway, the movie was awesome! Now I'm waiting patiently to watch Captain Marvel.

My wife and I saw it, and she made one comment at the end of the movie. Strange saw only one path to victory - what if he made sure they chose the right one? (In the comics, Thanos'sΒ worst enemy was ALWAYS himself.)

i dont blame Starlord for getting mad at Thanos after all, he did kill the love of his life.

they all got fucked because Starfucker couldn't maintain his cool for one more Gahtdang minute

It's why he gave that look to Tony just before... well you know... Because for whatever reason the one where they win is not the one where he stops Starlord. He deliberately did nothing. I'd put my money on him making some snarky comment to Iron Man whenever he comes back.
It's not even a spoiler, come on. He has a reality warping, soul editing, space manipulator, and time controller. Anything is up in that kind of air so a reset button by rewinding time, or simply undoing what he did in real time. It can create and assemble matter. So the end of the next moving is likely not surprising at all. My only complaint really to an otherwise good movie.
I really had lukewarm hopes for the first one because I expected 50% of it to be hi, I'm so and so. Let me expose, and now have some giant clusterfuck battle against nameless minions towards the end where we lose. They They didn't do that, it was a good surprise.

I read some things that heavily suggest everything that happened in Infinity War is going to be undone, and it just...irks me, because this is the whole problem with Supernatural or any other show/movie/book that can't let characters stay dead. It's a gimmick to drum up sympathy. It might've been hard-hitting the first time, but we know these characters aren't going to stay permanently dead, so what we see on-screen is just hollow and played for shock value.
Or maybe the ones who disintegrated aren't actually dead but went into that ethereal realm that we saw in Dr. Strange (the place where he "fought" Dormammu, don't remember what they called it), and now Dr. Strange is there and he'll drag everybody back out somehow idk
I like that the villain actually won this time, tho. Now I'll just stay hopeful that they don't pull some Disney shit on Thanos and make him mourn Gamora enough to where he has a complete change of heart and goes through a heart-filled tirade of "I shouldn't have done that, FUCK, I shouldn't have done that, give me back my daughter, I take it all back".

The moment Infinity War was mentioned I basically had to come to terms with a 'reset' ending. So I guess that matters a little less to me personally.... but yeah, the because you've convinced me of my wrongs or I mourn the one I love ending is the one thing I do dread and could ruin it all where I have to pretend only the first movie exists. Haha.

Thanos is a bad dude
But he is a compelling bad dude with real motivations beyond "evil, villain, must do bad". He wholeheartedly believes that what he's doing is the right thing to do (it isn't, but...).
