I think what happens is it is more of supply and demand rather than the design itself being $200. While I find it to be stunning and an awesome idea for a creature, I think a lot of the high price adopts come from wanting the design and knowing that there are not that many out there. In reality one person could not make enough adopts to satisfy everyone that might want them and since the demand is high bidding can skyrocket to numbers that only some can afford. Which isn't a bad thing that is just how a free market would work in essence.Β

You should know that before you come here and question how an artist makes their living.'Β If they didn't know that the AB is not the price tag that wouldn't be their fault and you claiming that it is a rule to know that before they comment is absurd. They weren't questioning how griff makes her living they were just commenting, in my opinion, on how someone would be willing to pay $200 for this design hence the AB being $200.
People don't have to agree with what the artist set and you being so defensive is weird for a comment that wasn't directed at you.

Yes, and my opinion was the fact that I see their comment as rude, and should just have left it be. If she wants to voice her opinion, she should expect an answer. She said she thought it was so too much in a questioning way, so I explained it to her. I see far too many comments on how much it costs, not how beautiful the design is.

That is true. I know of another artist right now that puts blood, sweat, and tears into her designs and people are constantly commenting on her posts saying that she should lower the price, so I definitely find your response justifiable. I guess I am rather on the fence about whether people should comment that sort or thing or keep it to themselves because to some extent it is rather rude.Β
