Description
Rasmus, a flower with the petals of a rose and the thorns of a rose but the teeth of venus fly trap. He looked welcoming but a strange vibe bounced off him. Rasmus has a son named Cagney Carnation, he was small and pathetic compared to Rasmus himself but his father loved him to death. They shared some of the relations like the threatening amount of teeth and thorns that’d break skin at a simple touch.
There was another thing they shared, the thirst for the hunt.
To get one bite would be enough for both the carnivorous flowers, and though they seem to be pure it’s just a facade. Like Father like Son.

The Mother has always been in the back of his head, thinking about her constantly. Till the day they both died. Florentine was the lovely flowers name if he could remember correctly, headaches always covered it up for him. Even though she still lives to this day he tries to bury her name into his head before anything else.

“Rasmus?”
The rose turns his head to look back at the carnation, grabbing his wrist nervously and his thorns perking painfully, “Yes Florentine?”
“I’ve been worried lately… You haven’t slept much.. It’s winter and you promised to spend it with me..”
“You know I have work to do, I can’t give it up eas-”
“Rasmus, you said you would, please don’t break that now..”
The rose blinked before looking down at his hands as a sigh comes from him, “Let me work on it some more, I promise i’ll find you once i’m done.” Just saying this embedded a headache into his head, looking into Florentine's eyes.
“Take your time Rasmus.”

The seed has been planted. Now to wait a few days.
It feels like years to Rasmus, feeling eager to see his new son. Names rush through his head, Aston Carnation, Relm Carnation, Floren Carnation- Florentine interrupts his thoughts with her sweet voice, “How would Cagney Carnation sound?”
The rose looks at her before a grin forms on his face as he nods his head, “That name sounds good!- I did have others in my head though.” He hummed to the other.
Florentine looks at him and gives him a gentle smile, one of her delicate hands reaching out to get his as her fingers gently tap onto his, “I’ve never seen you so excited. It’s adorable.”
“You’re adorable” Her cheeks turn a soft pink as her eyes trail to Cagney, his petals uncovering his little face as her finger gently brushes some petals out of his eyes as she smiled at Rasmus proudly.
Rasmus’s eyes look at his new son, one finger of his gently brushing down his tiny thorns. The tiny seedling gently grabs his father's finger, smiling up at him as his big eyes looked into the others. Florentine leans in to whisper to Rasmus, “I think he likes you.”

“Dad, look.” Cagney points into the night sky.
Rasmus’s eyes avert from looking at his sleeping wife before looking into the sky, trying to see what Cagney had been pointing at, “What is it?”
“I see a constellation. What one is it, you know the stars, right?”
He squints, finding the constellation his son had found before responding in a little bit of a whisper to him, “That’s the ursa minor”
“Is it rare?”
“Not at all… You can spot it every night.”
His eyes seemed to sparkle as he looked at the stars before responding, “I see another one.”
“Trace it.”
His tiny finger traces the midnight sky zigzaggedly, his eyes following where he pointed before he asked him softly, “What do you think that one is?”
“It’s a new one. It’s named after you, dad. Rasmus.”
