A quick height-comparison chart I whipped up a few weeks ago and decided to finish today. I don't care about being completely accurate, but it's nice to have something to go by when you're doing a butt-load of sequentials. (Also, I don't draw Gwen and Vivi as much as I should and I'm out of practice.)

Gwen (the tall bird-girl) and Vivi (the swamp monster thing) are both characters in five-finger discount. I need a policeman and a museum curator in my short comic, so I thought I'd have them fill in since their designs are fun and I need practice drawing them.

In 5 finger discount, Vivi is a detective in the art crimes department. Before Emile was hired against his wishes as an inspector for the FCLD, Vivi was always bright enough to stay a step behind him and really doesn't believe he can be trusted in any capacity. Though her appearance would suggest otherwise, she's pretty no-nonsense and has little tolerance for Emile's rudeness or Paolo's frequent attempts to pinch her ass. Otherwise, she likes bad muzak and snorts when she laughs. To make things even worse, her boyfriend is Edward. Spiky-haired, spastic Edward. Recognizing that Emile is particularly sensitive about his small stature and oversized front teeth, Vivi refers to him as 'mousey'.

Cat-burgular, connoisseur of fine art, and jewel thief, Gwen was one of Emile's chief rivals before he was forced to quit the business. Ruthlessly efficient and calculating, she's very, very good at what she does. For some inexplicable reason, she speaks with a heavy Russian accent. (Think Boris and Natasha from Rocky and Bullwinkle.) Coupled with her...ah...outlandish fashion sense, it's impossible to tell where she's originally from. Unlike Emile, who always freelanced, Gwen has been known to work under some pretty shady employers. But of course, her main concern is her own rapidly expanding bank account.
Gwen refers to Emile as 'little rat' or some other combination of derogatory adjective and rodent. To make things even more unbearable, she pronounces said nickname in the most cruelly affectionate way possible. In return, Emile refers to her as 'witch' or alternatively 'that horrible woman'. But never her actual name. Because of this, Paolo really thinks that she's in posession of magical powers beyond his comprehension, and is too afraid to do anything but fiddle with his tie and silently invoke the name of every catholic saint he knows when she appears.
