Arduffs were crepuscular mammals native to the Crystal Desert. They were the dominant predators of the Crystal Desert during theAge of Innocennce, and were a major threat to the primitive Gelfings tribes, frequently breaking into their shelters and dragging them out. Arduff predation was one of the driving forces behind the Gelfling forming the rudiments of civilization and forging the first weapons. By the age of Division, the Arduffs had long been driven to extinction, but lingered in Gelfling mythology
