Both the 1985 and 2011 incarnations are like mirror opposites of each other.

Pumyra was always my favourite, and I was so hyped for her appearance in Thundercats 2011.
I loved her design, and I was loving her characterization in early in the second season. Sure, it was drastically different than her original characterization, but it had potential.
And they they completely ruined her in the last episodes of the series.
Wasted Potential, the seires.

I prefer the original, although the new costume is interesting and kind of cool-looking. I hate it when they re-make a series and change the characters completely. The original's story is quite nice and fits the character quite well. This is why I won't watch series like the new Thundercats, new Star Trek and new-ish Battlestar Galactica. They tend to spoil the whole thing.
This makes me a little nervous for the new Star Wars films, but I will watch them as I'm a little bit of a fan. Still, I like the poses here and the costumes, as well as the colours. Nice piece overall.

You forgot to mentioned that all that time she was a spy for Mumm-ra who used her hatred of the Thundercats for abandoning her to switch sides among their travels using her eyes to know the locations of the crystals.
I have to say this newer version was done horrible, it could have been better in terms of the story wise, the most disappointing was the Anointment trials eps, wow.. what happened.

Pumyra's characterization in the 2011 series was, bluntly, ill-contrived. But then again, it conforms to the norm that not all Thundarians can turn out noble or good. After all, look at Grune and how he ended up corrupted?
As far as the whole 2011 Thundercats series goes, I think overall it wasn't a terrible re-imagining. They did make the characters more than just one-dimensional, cookie-cutter heroes and villains. I did like a lot of the differences they came up with (i.e. Lion-O actually looking younger and learning quickly to become a leader, his rivalry with Tigra, etc.). Not a bad outing over all.
But I will agree I didn't like the idea of Pumyra being an agent of Mumm-Ra. Who knows? Perhaps if the series had been continued, she might have been redeemed by Lion-O.

Oh well, what can you do... you know the classics in my opinion should be left alone, fun times as a kid and it was just fun to watch then.
