Description The following artwork depicts the coat of arms of the first emperor of my imaginary Empire of Gryda, which is situated in the Caucasus region (Hence the Armenian script, too). András I Grydas was the grandson of Gaius Octavianus Augustus, the Roman Emperor of the time after Julius Caesar. Despite being illegitimate, he was allowed to bear the Aquila of Rome (a huge honour at that time) and later, in medieval times, his coat of arms also bore this eagle with the second head added. It represents that Gryda as a nation is a "child" of the Roman Empire. András reigned from 23rd March 57 AD to 27th October 83 AD (Julian calendar).

The blue in the shield represents the blue sky above the land and the water around its soil. The eagle also represents Chaos, the primary and creational god of Hatva. His appearence is depicted as an eagle-phoenix with three heads and the tail is often depicted burning eternal fire. The Phoenix is supposed to be golden and thus the colour of the aquila (eagle) here is gold.

The crown that the arms bear, is called Zársankaróna. It looks like (and actally is) a very decorative and well-made Hellenic helmet for uppermost ranks. The crown still exists and is used whenever a new emperor is crowned. It has always been a ceremonial crown, reserved only to coronation and a few other limited occassions.

Finally, the text in the scroll reads VINĪDA, SAMSTĀDA AR KLĀVA which means "Unity, Independence (or freedom), and Honour (or glory). It's written in Armenian alphabet, in an old style typeface. The language is Grædian. It's a constructed language that I have been developing for almost two decades.
 ====

The artwork has been made of heraldry clipart bought from www.heraldryclipart.com/ , with some of my own additions, modifications and then putting it all together. The original vector has been exported to JPG so I hope the change and the web-upload won't screw the original up. The resolution is enormous with 6667 x 8889 pixels. That should be enough for very high-defined outcomes.

The premium and prints are enabled, too, with the premium price higher than usual. I might have to redo everything from scratch if something failed but I hope you will find this work interesting nevertheless. Please, let me know if there is anything that needs to be fixed, any feedback and so on. Thank you for your time!
