Welcome back to 13 Nights of Halloween its Night 4!Tonight is everyones favorite bloodsucker.... The Vampire!
I had a really hard time with this one. The whole face shape was a tug of war. and in the end all the time spent on that made the rest of the painting suffer.
Its one of the real challenges to doing painting in a timed session. I lost track of the whole piece and in the end things suffered greatly. You can tell where I spent most of the time.
I think this one has great potential. I really want to get back to it and really finish it up.

Funny, my first impression of this was not a sense of struggle. Furthermore, you say the face was the biggest challenge, yet it seems to come alive the most! Maybe that's what you mean when you hint about the most time being spent. The only real slight flaw in this would be his awkwardly bent left pinkie, but the (appropriately) dim setting of this Photo could easily suggest something's simply hidden in the shadows.

Furrow the brow more, yellow the pupils and add some blood!!! Looks like somebody snuck up on him, LOL. These are so cool and entertaining.

Actually the surprised sneak up look was what I was going for. A Max Shreck moment. (SERIOUSLY)
I like the yellow pupils idea, I may add that in polish.
Yes Blood is planned. I find doing blood takes some time or it looks wrong. So I was gonna attack that in polish as well.

Oh I see...then you nailed the surprised look for sure. I've been busy with work and all that. Plus my Devart account is still acting weird. This is fun stuff man. You should compile all 13 and make a horror poster with it.
