Sold. Thank you for looking at my little creations! I present the Copper Crystal Fairy Bed! This is a more elaborate piece in my collection and is in 1:12 scale, measuring 6 ½” x 6” wide and 7” tall. A magical and beautiful bed for any fairy to rest her head. I wanted an irregular organic look so built the structure from sturdy live oak branches and twigs. All natural items were treated with boiled salt water, antifungal agent, and then sealed. Allergy sufferers needn’t worry! I strengthening the bed frame with wire, wood glue, and liquid nails. Details include clay and wire vines twining about, clay lily of the valley blossoms, tiny ivy bunches, a natural tree fungus headboard, and “crystal” toppers on the 4 bed posts. These were made with copper wire, large clear beads, and paperclay. The whole affair was then brushed with copper acrylic and sparkles. The mattress is constructed of cardboard layered with batting and edged in oak moss. The bed skirt is a vintage white cotton doily handmade by my grandmother. The linens are a collection of natural fibers and vintage laces stained with chestnut. The main colors of the piece are copper, off whites, and sage greens. I really love this little bed and hope it finds a good home!
