Description Here is my one of a kind miniature Steampunk Furnace. I built this spooky barrel stove assemblage style, using found objects, recycled jewelry and toy bits, and a distressed dark paint job. I gave it a bit of an Asian feel with dragon and solar motifs throughout. For those not familiar with Steampunk, this genre may be described as an alternative history or a fantastical future that combines fantastical technology with Victorian, Edwardian, Gothic, and even Old West themes. I can imagine my Steampunk Furnace in a saloon, a laboratory, or even a parlor setting… anywhere that is darkly vintage inspired!

The stove is in 1:12 dollhouse scale, measuring 5 ¾” tall x 2” wide at the top hoop. It stands on 3 legs, has a coal door that opens, serpentine handles, chains, gears, smoke stacks, and a pipe. The barrel looks to be riveted with metal panels that seem rusted with age and blackened by soot. This is an ornate yet low tech marvel of some forgotten steam magician!

I love the steampunk look... I just introduced it to some art teachers that had no idea what steampunk was.. Amazing job capturing the beauty of steampunk by using found objects. Great craftmanship >
