Thanks! Just out of curiosity, how long would it take you to make such models? It has to be much more time consuming than drawing by hand

In general and at my skill level yes. The time depends on the intricacy of the model and the amount of modelled detail. For something to be used closeup you may want to model in all the detail. Compared to something used in the mid or background where alot or even all for background of the detail can be texture. Guys in the industry go pretty quick but guys like me 
the telescope/observatory has alot of character and would be great in an animated short. A little white haired scientist searching the stars all night. Blues outside and yellows inside. very comfortable colors.

It's always fun to see what you come up with for your various designs and whatnot, plus seeing observatories getting some love is always a good thing too. I really like the stone portions as well. The cottage with the rounded closed-in porch on top is a lovely idea too, even for modern usage. (Probably hard to get the building permits for that design, since I'd guess they want more mass and/or distance for the cantilever.) Now I just wish I knew what that little factory/processing plant was for.
