Have you ever wonder how your OCs would react after they put their hands in cold water for the very first time ?
I remember that scene in Death Note were Light Yagami spend the whole night hidding under his blanket and his eyes wide open after he used the Death Note for the first time and assumed the responsibility of someone's death. This was a very strong moment even though it was of short-lasting (everybody knows to what extent Light has become a batshit insane sociopath right after hahaha) and I though I had never really imagine that moment with my OCs. So I decided to get back to work with 3rdGen Ziggy & Thomas and created this very special moment between the twin brothers.
Ziggy & Thomas are clueless, careless brats with with behaviors close to sociopathy but it doesn't mean that they don't feel anything. First time they set a pack of bombs they were around 16-17 and killed 5 people. Upon hearing the news, Thomas bursted into tears because the only thing he wanted was to test his inventions but in his mind he didn't realize at that time that it could actually hurts people (well, maybe he knew it unconsciously but remember that was before the twins get into shitty business and terrorism) For once in his life, Ziggy managed to stay calm and tried to comfort his brother but he's the one who couldn't sleep the night after. Both teens are haunted by this blood baptem.

Oh, snap, bombs aren't fun toys when peeps are around them!
This scene is very intense, because it shows that the twins do have empathy enough to comfort each other. And it's quite intriquing to see Thomas getting this reaction.
Also lovely to see Ziggy comforting him, I can't help, but think it's way too cute!

Indeed ! Their aren't friendly people even if they like parties and being surrounded but really, the only person that matter to them is each other (and Hermione) So even if they'll grow as true sociopaths they know they can always count on the other and they're not afraid to show their love and support. Thomas is by far the most sensitive even if he shows less emotions than Ziggy.
Uggh I can't help but find them so friggin' cute as well ;___; Anayway, thank you so very much girl !

But those two brothers are like opposites of each other, right o.o? Like Ziggy is hyperactive as Hell and Thomas is more silent?

Well they met for the first time when Hermione was 14 and the twins 16 because Marla had send her daughter at an early age to Simon's older bother in Ireland (she wanted the twins to be separate from their sister for some reasons) but it happened that Hermione had to come back to Gotham and thus she started to live with the rest of the family. It was kind of "love at first time" for the three teens so it quickly bring them together all the more so as Marla and her husband weren't often at home (Marla works hard and their father avoid the family as much as he can since he's terrified by his wife and sons) so the siblings spend all their time together. But later on, Hermione will eventually have to help the GCPD (she'll work as a kind of psychologue/profiler) and she will find out her brother's activities. Of course she'll be freaking mad at them but there always is a very strong bond between them so it's going to be pretty hard for her to get over it. :/
Oh she's far different from her brothers ! 
Indeed, both twins are different from the other as little bit as night and day. Ziggy is so fucking hyperactive you have to tell him to shut up all the time and Thomas finds everything boring/dull/annoying to the point you feel like banging his head against the walls

That's quite fascinating. I forgot, but who is the father, if I may ask? 
And what does Marla work with o.o?
It's quite a horrible sense one gets if they find out a member of the family has done something horrible >_<

There is so much emotion in this piece between these two. I can really see the influence from that Death Note scene which I agree is extremely powerful. It is nice to see this side of characters who are considered sociopaths most people do not take the time to think about characters labeled that way as still being human and in the beginning feeling negatively towards what they have done. I really really love this. The shading / lighting is also amazingly done!! Great work.

I read the whole manga few weeks ago and to be honest, this scene shocked me way much more than few years ago when I had not realized yet how much it is intense and important. It really made me want to work harder on that kind of thing and I'm glad it echoed in you as well ! I didn't want Ziggy & Thomas to become a parody of antagonists so I decided to go deeper into their feelings and personnal issues. You're absolutely right about it ; although they show socipathic behaviors they are human beings and they can suffer as well as other people. And I guess a teenager who kills can not escape safely from the situation and stays "healthy"

A very heart-warming moment of the two here Gen! I think it's rather touching to see, especially since we don't know too much about the twins yet (it kind of adds this element of mystery to them!) :3
I think the idea of an OC reacting to their first crime is quiet interesting! It's kind of making me think about it myself xD but I do look forward too seeing more of this sort of idea from you? I'm very curious to see how Irene or Byron would react to their first crime! Xx

Death Note made me think about a looot of new stuff and I'm so glad I had the idea to read it again ! Oh I'm happy that made you fiugured about it, I'd love to see Kaina's first "experiment" to be honest !
Well that is a good question. Honestly I think it could tell a lot about both personnalities. O.O Gotta do something about it one day !

Ooooh Death Note? Now that brings back memories xD though I never finished reading it because a friend ruined the story for me... (I know what happens, I'd have rather collected the books though 8D) it's a great idea to be honest! It's not often we see character, who are considered to be the 'bad guys' to have morals, so exploring that concept has been a treat to see! :3
Eh, well, Kaina's first experiment was really by her choice, because her being an experiment by Crane and all, I don't think it'd be that exciting ^^"

Precisely my point and I noticed that a lot of my actual characters lack that kind of things so I just wanted to pull myself together and fix that up !

I almost cried when I found out ^^" I was a huge anime addict as a young teenager, I won't lie xD now that IS something I can sympathies to as well! I remember discussing GOT with you once before, but it's nice to know someone else likes that series <3 (I received the entire book series for Christmas so guess who is going to be busy reading the damn thing xD)
There is certainly nothing wrong with that, I look forwards to seeing more!
