Shortly after the battle of the Mission City,Waspinator realized his current form as a fighter jet would leave him open to attack from the Autobots(neon green not being a conspicous color for a terran plane).The Insecticon drones were used to craft himself a new body.With a remarkably durable body and Frenzy's Allspark-charged body,Waspinator began crafting his own troops to present to Megatron should he ever rise again.He created a spider with a scientific mindset rivaled only by Shockwave and Flatline called Tarantulas.An unwinged version of Waspinator's body was used to create an antlike pyromaniac suitably named Inferno.Armed with his Predacons,he waits for Megatron to return from his retreat in the aftermath of The Fallen's defeat and the destruction of the Solar Harvester.
