This was my costume for Persacon 2007, but I didn't get the chance to enter it in the cosplay contest until 2008- my friend Ryn was going to be Link to complete our duo, but her costume wasn't finished. The wait was worth it- as a pair, we won Best Constructed.
Anyway, I originally made this costume when Ryn wanted to get a Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess group together. I had wanted to be Agitha, but decided Zant would be someone a bit underrepresented in the world of cosplay. The outfit is one of my most complicated to date, but it's fun to wear. I especially love the swishy sleeves, but the shoes will always bother me. The tongue on the helmet also drives me batty- it's been replaced with a more accurate one since this picture was taken, but I don't have any good photos of it.
The helmet itself is made out of paper mache on top of poster board. It's surprisingly light and durable, and seeing out of it really isn't a problem. Most people are surprised about that.
It also sits well atop the shoulder armor, which is made out of foam.Zant the Usurper King belongs to Nintendo.

paper mache and foam? your so brave. if i made something like that, that good and so wonderful looking i would be much too scared to go out with it.... which is why i am going to be a bad cosplayer 
oh well, have to do my best and suck up the fear of my costume breaking (when i get one thats breakable DX)

Wow! This came out really good! ^_^ The arms are a bit too thin, though . . . What material did you use? If it was something static then the electrcity would have stuck it TO your arms, but it doesn't matter, because it is OMGWTFBBQ AWESOME!

Lots and lots of black fabric and a touch of acrylic paint for the sleeves.
But seriously, figuring out the outfit was the hardest part, especially without good screenshots of him. The helmet is paper mache on top of posterboard, then painted with spray paint and a little bit of airbrush for the highlights. The eyes are two halves of a plastic ball, like pantyhose used to come in.
