Well, I did his last year so thought I'd do it again to wrap things up as I don't think I'll be submitting any more finished artwork this year.It's so weird...in these pictures over the year I can see all of this year's events reflected. It's been a bumpy ride this year I won't lie, the beginning of the year I was feeling so optimistic and happy for various reasons. I went away for a while at the beginning of the year and met some new and I was so nervous about that because although I was with someone close to me the whole time I'd never been in that situation before, it was a strange time though I was still so happy.
In February I was still feeling on top of the world, I jumped a lot of hurdles and conquered a lot of fears which made me feel stronger, as well as that my mom was in a really good place at the time as well which made me happy. It's weird since the art is still kind of crude...it makes me think of how naive I was back at the beginning of the year, still sticking to my simplistic style pretty content with it and not thinking about changing it much.
In May-August I started to feel really low again, some things happened around that time that meant I couldn't see someone dear to me any more and I felt I'd been knocked down my someone I cared about causing me to lose a lot of confidence. I can see in my art around this time it actually looks a lot better, I think it was because I was doing my absolute best to pick myself up and keep going, I also decided to myself I would try to do better at art since I think my insecurities at the time carried over to all aspects of my life, making me look at my artwork with a very critical eye. In a way I'm glad I was feeling that way at the time, because you can see later in the year my art was better because of it, I mean of course everyone improves over the course of a year but I really feel like I've improved MORE than I usually would.
September was really hard. Without much to look forward to and feeling really low I kinda broke down a bit, hence the reason for only two completed artworks that I did near the beginning of the month. Everything caught up with me and I felt very depressed and just stopped drawing for a while until I felt better.
October and November I was still feeling kinda up and down though I felt well enough to carry on drawing again and worked on improving my coloring and anatomy, as well as trying to adapt my style to Matsuri Hino's style of art which I'd been influenced by all year.
December-and here we are now! I've felt pretty good MOST of December. I still have my pessimistic days but I couldn't deny the Christmas spirit
. This time the reason I wasn't drawing as much was because it was the festive period and I was busy...plus I was working on that HUGE picture in the bottom right box which consists of seven individual pictures. I think you can forgive me for not having anymore...plus Zero's topless in the unfinished one, does that make things better? 
. Anyway, all in all I feel as if despite the really rocky ups and downs of the year, ups and downs that still happen everyday, that this year has been one of my best actually...I've learnt a lot, I've changed a lot...but I also have a lot to look back on and a lot to be proud of.
I hope you all had a wonderful 2011, I know some of you have suffered injury, loss and heartache as well, but I hope you've also experienced achievement, joy and pride. So...I guess that's all I have to say...(all I filled up like...half the artists comments with this crap
