Description Chapter 1:

Blender Genetics was yer average genetics corporation.  They gave free heredity tests, donated to charities, and tried to be the first corporation to rediscover a super soldier serum.  Made in 1944, this serum caused the Nazis to push the allies back out of Berlin.  The soldiers that were enhanced could survive tank shells at point blank range, then lift and smash said tank.  Sadly, a nuke, dropped on Berlin, burned all of them down, and most of the plans were lost.

This serum was about to be rediscovered however, by Felicia Ambercroft.  Felicia had been working on this project ever since The Boss gave her this project 5 months ago.  Getting the materials was easy.  The right mixture however, was the hard part.  The stuff you put in was on the plans, but the amount and the order you put them in was a pile of ash.

She did have help, in the form of Grim, the guy who willingly subjected himself to these serums.  Grim was, from what she guessed, ex-military due to the way he acted.  He did reveal that he was kicked out after finishing basic.  Why might you ask?  Because he got a cold, and accidentally passed it on.

Grim left, thinking that he had been kicked out of the military because of that cold.  He actually didn’t, but Damien, the drill sergeant who had been training him, decided to just leave him be, figuring he would would return eventually, when he remembered that he hadn’t.  Grim wasn’t sad about it, as he had at least got himself in shape.  His dad, a cop, and his mom, a former private military soldier, didn’t feel to bad for him either, as Grim had matured a lot in his time there.

Getting back to the subject, Grim was getting yet another batch of serums, to see if one worked.

“Which batch number is this?” he asked, semi robotically.

Felicia looked at the batch number on the side of the needle.

“1138.  The one you spilled Kool-aid in.”

“Why are you using that?”

“You never know if adding that might work.” she said, deadpan.  Grim nodded, reluctantly.  They do reuse serums, but not with things other than previous batches.

“If this works,” said Grim, “How am I affected?”

It was Felicia’s turn to look puzzled.

“You're finally asking that?” she said, irritated.
“Yes.” said Grim, right as Felicia injected him.

“Pretty sure it won’t erase your memories,” Grim’s eyes then rolled back into his head, and he passed out on the table.

“But let’s find out.”  Felicia then picked him up.

And promptly dropped him on her feet, because he weighed more than her by a good 10 pounds.

“Ow.” she said.
