Haha, I assumed that my lack of knowledge about that word might be pretty funny/odd/puzzling for those who speek English more than me XD Well, I always check some possibilities of meanings for my characters's names - but this time I just liked the form of the name and connection to philosophy. Finding this word pretty similar to Mr Fishie's name occured both interesting... and kinda melancholic: what could a word "Søreness" mean...? Sorry, I'm philologically deviated xD

I do recall seeing posts on Tumblr showcasing words that depict entire moods or ideas in a single word; in many languages. I don't recall any... but one English word that I discovered and use quite often is 'cornobble'; meaning to slap someone with a fish. XD It's an old English word; I was delighted to discover it, and it is my new favorite friendly threat! XD
Ahah aaah it wasn't anything... coherent; not a fully formed thought. Just that soreness is pain related, and Søren seems very... pained in a way; maybe angsty, so Søreness is like an underlying internal pain handled with stoicness.
I dunno if that is by any means accurate! But that is a possible definition or something I suppose?? *FLAIL*

To be sincere, I was considering if Søren hides something that could be called pain, angst or something else. I have an impression that he misses something or he wishes something was different than it is - but he won't realize or tell it for some reasons. In a short story I wrote last year Ludmila attacked Seth. He cried because of emotions, and released some feelings unwantedly and uncontrolledly. Because of that Søren felt something he found as "internal aquarium where someone slowly pours water through the walls". What was it? I'm not sure. Besides of that, I was thinking about the fact that Søren may be painful himself because of my... unfortunate longing. :')

If something is a hassle, it's to say that that thing is an irritating inconvenience. And in this context of 'issue'; I'm meaning for it to be used in definition of a topic/subject of personal problems or difficulties.
So in full translation, my saying "as long as it isn't a hassle or issue" is me saying "as long as it isn't an irritating inconvenience or going to cause you personal problems or difficulties."
... wholly shit; I just realized that we actually do have a lot of words which convey a larger meaning or idea, but us native English speakers have NO idea because we're just so used to just ~knowing~.
