It's really complicated because they are low in certain lights or combinations of several lights.
And a ring of a color can be stronger when it is near a ring of another color.
For exemple: the power of Green lantern increases when they are near Blue lantern corps, whereas the power of Yellow lantern decreases.

I guess the people in change finally figured out that the whole weakness to the color yellow thing was pretty silly.

Well, they tried to explain it by saying the elemental of fear (a yellow entity) was imprisoned in the core battery of the Green Lanterns which is why it had that weakness and once a Green Lantern conquered her or his fears they no longer would have a weakness to yellow, but I agree it was pretty silly. I'm still trying to figure out how Will Power is an emotion and why things like courage and sorrow aren't there.
