Awesome sculptures. Be cool to also see more backgrounds like this with your other sculptures.

You did a terrific job at every step. First off, the teacher and student each look terrific, but even much more so together. Celestia's very nicely detailed wing reaching over her preoccupied student is very charming indeed, plus both seem very enamored of the gorgeous night sky. The princess' mane and tail have great color to them, and her overall affect is very dignified while also comfortable. The telescope is exceptionally cool as well.
As for the photograph, you did an excellent job putting enough light on the subjects from a great angle to give them some moonlight shadows and light up their firms so we can enjoy the details. It must have been tough to do that with the bright backlight from inside the tower too. (They must be outside of a study or such since bedrooms and especially an observatory platform would have curtains. The use of a portable telescope fits in that case.) Are the stars tiny Christmas lights, holes poked in construction paper, or something else? The effect is sweet.

Thank you for the critics. I'm glad you noticed how much work I've invested into this scene. The stars in the background are in fact a big cardboard with tiny holes on it in front of my LCD TV ) with white background as you noticed).

inspiring please tell me what type of material did you use to sculpt this and what type of paint to paint with your art work is amazing

I've made them from Super Sculpey, the background is mainly paper. I use water-based acrylic paint for painting them.

Measuring your photographer gave you a lot of work?
... so what were her measurements?
π: 0 β©: 1
Groovebird In reply to Ferdrimmler [2013-06-16 17:57:41 +0000 UTC]
It was very hard to measure. The more professional a camera is, the more you have to change manually. I don't remember the exact measurements I made, then and there I searched for some tips on the internet, but I didn't have to use it since then.
