No, this Mordecai isn't from Regular Show. He's from a cartoon short called "Hillbilly Blue." The best way I can describe it is a southern version of Ren & Stimpy. He and his crawdad friend, Eustace, head to New Orleans to be served in "royal fashion." And once they get there, Eustace get served... as the main course! (Anyone else getting "Little Mermaid" flashbacks?) The episode has a lot, and I mean a lot of southern references and stereotypes. You've got KFC, Elvis Presley, a Confederacy flag, even Eustace and Mordecai are portrayed as simpletons, the poor possum even more so. We should be glad they didn't include a incest joke, something the South was constantly made fun of for. Still, I felt like I should draw the derpy possum-rat thing with a big belly and ready for a dip in the drink. He's that adorable!
