This is really good, I especially like all of the stars in the sky, really nice attention to detail. I think the weakest part of this piece is the ground around the body of water, it seems a little rushed, almost like you lost interest while drawing that part. This is still a really nice piece, it just feels a little incomplete like you could have taken it just a little bit further.

Thanks very much ! And you really understood how I was when I drew the landscape ground... I really wanted to finish it, so I drew fastly and I also think that I didn't spend the right time on it to make it more beautiful... But I wanted to focus more on the main part of the drawing instead of the stuff around.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, I'm glad you found it really nice !

Yeah, I have that problem as well (probably how I could tell) I tend to get a little lazy on certain parts of a piece of artwork that I don't really want to focus on.

Yeah, laziness is annoying x)

Awesome stuff! love the mood of this piece! Don't mind me giving some advice for improvement? Just my opinions though! I was thinking since the water is so still, you could do a mirror reflection of the land above as well!, like little of the hills and stuff! and also you used photo textures for the sky right? it's little too high res as compared to the land, which looks more paintery. Which kinda throws the depth of field off! i suggest either use photo textures for the land as well or reduce the quality of the sky! The former will be cool though! But all in all, this is awesome as it is! You caught the story telling and feeling of the piece. Good job!

Thanks very much for your kind comment !
Yeah, I could have done what you said, it would be very great ! I'll try to take account of your advice next time, thanks very very much for it !
No, I didn't use any photo textures. I prefer do all by myself, this way I don't need to add credits or anything, I could forget something ! And it's annoying to write.
I wanted to have the high resolution for the sky because I wanted people to focus mostly and firstly on the Aurora borealis dragon and then on the little igloos.
Thanks very much again ! (it must be the third time I say it x) ) I'm really glad that you noticed each detail of the drawing and commented on it !

haha no problem!! wow then you must had spent a lot of time working on the sky!! Cool that you had that train of thought, leading the viewer's eyes where you want em to be! Haha, however realistically at that distance, foregrounds should have the same level of detail as the background if the bg is hi res! Do you do photography? Go pick up some photography skills and learn about focal length, aperture, depth of field etc... Even if you do not do photography, it will help alooooottt in your paintings! it will give a more realistic and natural feel to them! All the best!! Your works are looking great! Continue practicing and they will look even more awesome! Keep on rocking!

Yeah, I find my own technique to create an aurora borealis, inspired by some tutorials I found on the internet. It's a bit long, but we lose track of time !
Oh okay, then now the background will have as much resolution as the sky !
No, I don't do photography... And it sounds like you are speaking from experience ! ^-^ But I should try, if it can help me improving !
Thanks very very very very much again !!! I'm really glad to receive a comment from a quite talented artist like you !
Be sure I will !
