this is a good use of artistic liberty. I like how you left the detail out of the flourishes and simplified the light. But still managed to capture the important.

the shading is AMAZING!! *touches screen* it looks so real! Er....apparently the person that commented before me doesn't agree, but i honestly think so. I couldn't ever do anything that good! Excellent job Especially on the little tie-string things..... they look very believable and not needlessly loopy as many people tend to make them.

As someone already said, the shadows could use more work. I also think the line of the top of the mask could be more smooth. Other than that I think it's very well done, great shading and detail.

Ahh, venetian, beautiful. It reminds me of something I would see teh scarlet pimpernelle wearing, not to many draw of history. I like that you did. It is not the most refined piece, but it is something to look at. Give a frame or a background, or just leave it there for just a glance.
