Luna and Twilight wrapped themselves up in their overcoats and their scarves as Solace waited on them to leave. "Are you sure you will be okay darling?" Luna asked gently to her little colt. Solace nodded and smiled a grin that was missing a front tooth, "Yes mother, I can look after myself- I'm 13! Besides, Shiny is easy to look after she falls asleep real quick if I read to her."
Twilight giggles, rubbing the short colts hair, "I'm so glad you get along with your sister Sol. I'm so proud of you." She smiled. She turns to Luna, "Ready to go?"
Luna nods, "Yes dear, I'm ready. Have fun darling." She says, planting a kiss on Solace's forehead "But not too much fun." She winked.
"Bye mom, bye mother!" Solace waved as his parents flew away.
Solace made his way back up the grand staircase into the long halls of the upstairs. He peaked into his little sisters doorway, seeing that she was brushing her sparkling mane, readying for bedtime. "Hey Shiny! Which book do you want me to read tonight?" He asked, entering and wandering about her bookshelf.
Nightfall shrugged, "I 'unno. Maybe one I haven't heard before?"
Solace searched around the shelf, finding a tan one at the very tippy-top. He hovered up to grab it. "Hmm, how about this one? The Hoppit?" He showed the book to his tiny sister, who examined the cover.
"Are there pictures?" She asked. Solace opened the book, skimming through the pages. "No, not really." He said, landing back on the ground.
Nightfall made a bit of a pout, but arranged herself on the bed with a comfy pillow and blanket.
"Ah, come on Shiny, don't be like that. You just have to use your imagination! Just listen and close your eyes and see the adventure!" He settled down on the bed next to her. She sighed, "Okay... I'll try!" She rested her head and closed her eyes. Solace began to read.
"Chapter One, An Unexpected Celebration. In a hole in the ground lived a Hoppit..." He read on and on, and what seemed like an hour later, and 3 chapters in he notices his little sister had fallen silently asleep. He stretched out of his position and closed the book.
"Guess we'll continue on next time." He smiled and whispered to himself. "Night, Shiny." He kissed his little sister on her forehead, turned out the lights and cracked the door open. He hoped her sleep would be restful and long.

Yassss I love family interactions! Now after the newest episode, I know how Twilight handles kids and I love it! Anyways, little bit of a new thing, Nightfall is the daughter of Luna and Twilight and Solace is the adopted son of Luna. I removed Heart Piece from the family tree because I'm just not comfortable with shipping Twilight with a non-existant OC, and just- yeah. She's still around, but not the daughter of Twilight.
