Description This is my first submit for 09 and the first of the monthly DA OC's I will being drawing(maybe at the end of the year I can set up a calender, Hmmm?^^) This lovely lady is Astria, the OC of DA Splicer-ik. I really took my time with this pic to do as much work as I could not only to give the picture a good look, but also because Splicer-ik is one of the few DA members to comment almost on a regular basis with input of my work. When I showed him a FYEO(for your eyes only) pen and pencil sketch he was very pleased so I had to make the colored version that much special^^. Hope yaw like.

Heyyy. Very nice, man.

I am curious though, what's that gold thing near her arm? Is that supposed to be a zipper for the dress or something? I apologize if I'm incorrect. ^_^;

Oh, and don't worry about the first commenter. I got a disgusted commenter on one of my works recently, and I think the response I gave them (which wasn't rude at all) shocked them enough.

Thanks dude, I'm glad you like.

I believe that's what it's suppose to be now that I look at the reference picture from S20K00y again of his "Astria transforms into Trigamm" pic. I thought it was a necklace at first glace which is why I flared out the metal a bit.

I don't mind too much about bad comments in that maybe I did or didn't do something that would improve the pic which is why I asked what they didn't like. But if the person is just hating for no reason then I can move on.

It's... really bad. On too many levels to adequately sum up. I mean, I guess I can try...

First off, let's ignore the retarded breast size for now. I realize that it's probably just a dumb fetish of yours, so whatever. Either way, regardless of size, human flesh does not work that way. Squeezing a breast like whatever it is she's wearing supposedly does will not make it pop out in that shape. It'll also be pretty painful.

Her hair looks like a floor mop, and inexplicably turns grey in the are around her neck.

The leg proportions are way, way off. Not even just on a terrible style level, either; legs like that can only be the result of lacking talent.

The whole thing looks like you coloured it in MS Paint. In fact, you probably did. Badly.

There is virtually no shading apart from on the breasts, and the shading that's there is just completely wrong.

What the hell is going on with her hip? Hips do not have that shape.

In conclusion, this is just fucking retarded.

Ok chief, I really hoped you were going to respond back, and since you did and I read your verbage let me say a few things.

For arguement sake is there some things I could do to improve this picture. I give you that, but your whole tandem wasn't of a professional critique, but of some one who obviously hates big breast drawings and thickly built women.

"Flesh don't work that way", and what are you the leading authority on flesh now. Took a look at your gallery boss and all I've seen are petite built woman which is nothing wrong with at all. But for someone to criticize about the flesh(especilly in the breast region) you don't know what your talking about. Yep, I like them big on a lass and I've ,at least, did my homework first on the subject. From implanted tits to woman with natural JJJ size boobs (or bigger) women come in all shapes and sizes.

Of course breast can be shoved into an outfit and have that (I'm about to pop out of my dress) look to them, hell attend an AVA(adult video association) award show and you'll see these women all over the place who (purposely) dress like that and have no trouble with thier clothes hurting them in any way.

Plus the fact that this ,like any other artist's work, is my representation of what I like in the female form. That means I can plump them up to the size of sky scrappers if I want to because I'm the master of my domain for my work.

On the basis of equiptment, If in your trirade your were getting me a bran new art prgram and a pen and tablet set to fine tune those lines in her hair seeing I don't have one ,hell, why didn't you just say so. The mouse is lacking in some areas for drawing yet I give it that ol' college try regardless (to do the best work I can with what I have).

Bottomline Woebin, I never said I was the best artist of BE or any other medium, but regardless of what your views about my work I can put a pencil to paper and draw very well. So well that even if people may not be interested to put my work in their favorite gallery they still have an interest enough to want to check out what I did. Which brings me to my point with you. How in the hell do you get the nerve to slam my art calling it retarded yet you chose to tune in boss. You didn't have to click on my gallery, but you did.

I had a Belguim young woman who commented that she hated BE, when I asked her why she responded that it wasn't really an art form to her and left it at that. No tearing down of people's work. that just wasn't her cup of tea, and I can respect that. What I don't care for Is some one who is lacking in talent themselves putting down someone else because that person maybe able to do on paper what they can't, even if it isn't the best in the world.

As much as I love comments of my drawings (more good then bad) when I get a bad one and it's in reference to something I can improve I can accept that better then your hateful and lets not forget retarded spewing of my work. You crossed a line chief that you as a artist picture or otherwise should never go over.

As much as I love insight into my work, There was only one person who comment that really matterd to me since I was using his character, and he like what I did. So go on and hate if you want to, It don't really concern me anymore, But next person you give your views to hopefully you will have a little more respect in your reponse.

Wow, this is fantastic. Not only are you completely lacking in talent (regardless of what you choose to draw, you're drawing it pretty badly), but you're also delusional. Wonderful.

First off, yes, there are several things you could do to improve this picture, but I already tried pointing those out and you rejected that. So I'll go to part two of my advice: throw this shit away. Go out and look at what real people look like. Learn basic anatomy. Then try again.

No, I'm not the leading authority on flesh, but I do understand basic anatomy. Certainly, it is possible to cram a pair of breasts into something that's too small, and you might get it looking like it's about to burst... but not like that. The way you've drawn it makes it look like the breasts consist of two bowls each; one smaller, and one larger which is placed upside down on the small one. And regardless of how large your breasts are and how small your clothes are, it won't look that way in reality. Again, go out and look at some real people. A woman with that waist size and those breasts would suffer serious back injuries unless she had some sort of spinal support. Highs also do not look like chicken drumsticks, and the discrepancy between them and the rest of the legs should not be that large unless the woman in question is bound to a wheelchair. Try taking off your pants and looking at your own legs for reference; if you're male your legs won't be exactly like those of a woman, of course, but still closer to reality than your drawing.

I'd also like to know where in my gallery you found this "petite woman". If you mean the photos, I must say I'm flattered; I do strive towards androgyny in my appearance. That said, my body's actually male.

You can blame your equipment for your skill deficiency all you like, but that'll only work so far. There are several (free) alternatives to MS Paint which you might want to consider, and even with a mouse it's definitely quite possible to do much better than this.

As for why I saw this picture to begin with; someone else posted a link in an IRC channel that I frequent, along with the line "hahaha jesus christ". I posted my comment because pointing out to bad artists on the internet that they're bad is a lot of fun. And as for me lacking in talent as well, I'd like to know on what you base that? See, I'll readily admit that my own drawing is bad, perhaps even worse than yours, but the difference there is that I know my limitations and don't proudly display my artistic defecations on the internet like you do. Instead I stick to what I think I do well, which is modeling. Feel free to criticize my modeling as much as you like; if I had a problem with criticism of any kind, I'd keep my work to myself.

Really, well chief again you only prove my point for me.

You want perfect form anatomy look it up all you want, but again those that I draw for or to get an audience by don't placate to both arms being inplace of the body or legs having to be the same size.

The whole point is that the pics are set well beyond anything in reality. Thier are plenty of women out there who would be considerd cartoonish because of there boobs or ass size or even trying to look like a cat through plastic surgery, but they still exist in reality so what are you talking about?

That's you!, ok, I'll move on.

Finally, I have no problem with actual criticism. What you made were snide remarks set to ( I presume) hurt my feelings or agitate. Ok, great you accomplished the second. Hell, you even said something to the effect that telling bad artist their bad was fun to you.

Well chief keep it coming. I love to comfront with the best of them. All you'll be doing is increasing my stats that much more. Bad art shown across the world thanks to Mr/Mrs Woebin, keep up the good work boss. The big breasted and fat women I get inspiration from thank you many times over. Retard.

That defence is the most tired bullshit there is. Yes, I realize that your "style" isn't supposed to be realistic, but the problem is that you haven't even learned basic anatomy to make your deviating from it credible. Any talented artist will learn to draw proper humans before moving on to whatever personal style they decide to go for.

See, I'm absolutely willing to admit that there are tons of talented artists drawing in styles I absolutely despise. There are talented furry artists, there are talented fat fetishism artists, and there are talented artists drawing women with breasts so ridiculously large one can only laugh. I find all of these genres completely ridiculous, but I still recognize talent when I see it. And you just aren't talented.

You also say "chief" way too often.

Oh, Theo your back again. Didn't know you cared so much.

So you just hate differences of any type that dosen't meet what you refer to as the norm. If some one draws a husk with the arm coming out of the chest, the ass on the back, and fingers from the forehead they better be anatomically in reference to each other, eventhough your still dealing with a hot mess to begin with.

Look chief,(damn I do say that a lot...hmmm), You don't like my work(or lack there of as you would say)cool, never did I say you had to. I've always replied to those giving actual criticism, yes there is more I can(and will) do in the artistic process. But regardless of what you call it, your comments were meant to belittle and slam then it was to encourage and that's what I found offensive. You could've said I don't like this and moved on, but no you thought it would be a gas to pick me apart maybe crush my soul a bit. Well boss(damn I say that a lot too...hmmm) newsflash for you, ain't going anywhere. And as I fine tune what I do still will be drawing. So bring it on.

You think am talented, but yet you come back. I feel loved.
